Wilde Thyme at Glenturret, an exciting new culinary partnership between the award winning luxury event caterers Wilde Thyme and five-star visitor attraction The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery, has announced that from this week it will be extending its opening hours to include evening restaurant dining, the first of its kind in the 240 year old history of Glenturret Distillery.
The Comrie based caterers officially launched in February this year, and response from the local community for its exceptional food offering has been so popular that extending to evening opening was an obvious next step.
Andrew Hamer, chef patron of Wilde Thyme at Glenturret, and previously the executive chef at Gleneagles Hotel, commented:
“We’re delighted to be able to extend our public opening hours so soon after launching. Lunches and afternoon teas are rapidly filling up and we have had a number of requests from customers to offer evening dining so it makes sense to extend our offering. From this week we will be open Thursdays to Saturdays from 6pm, and I’ve devised a new and exciting menu which is specifically for evening guests. I’m looking forward to welcoming diners to Glenturret in the evening – the distillery at dusk is a very special place and a unique setting in which to dine.”
Wilde Thyme at Glenturret offers the very best of local produce from Scotland’s larder and the menu, which will be delivered by head chef Jonathan Greer, offers a world-class culinary experience to match the award winning visitor attraction, currently Whisky Visitor Attraction of the Year.
Despite being open to the public for just a few short months, the team at Wilde Thyme at Glenturret already have their first award under their belts, receiving a Taste Our Best accolade from VisitScotland just days after they opened.
